Kadokawa starts SB releases in Japan!
Kadokawa Entertainment Japan has announced its first batch of Shaw Brothers DVD and Blu Ray releases for June 27th, 2008. “Shaolin Abbot”, “Shaolin Prince”, “Two Champions of Shaolin”, Shaolin Treasure Hunters” and “Shaolin Intruders” – all films with Shaolin as a catch phrase - will hit the shelves of the stores and the stocks of the internet sellers. The price will be 3.800 Yen. This is the first of a series of Shaw releases that will see no less than 150 Shaw Brothers titles either on DVD, Blu Ray Disc, VOD (video-on-demand), Mobile Services and Free TV as well as on Pay-TV. The Deal between Kadokawa (which has a major stake in IVL as well) and Celestial Pictures had been inked in early April 2008.
