Star Director Ho Meng Hua is dead!

Hong Kong. Shaw Brothers Star director Ho Meng Hua has died on June 2^nd, 2009 at 02:50. The superstar helmer was 80 years old and, according to family members, finally lost his long fight against a pulmonary disease. In more than 30 years of active duty, he directed almost 50 movies, most of them for Shaw Brothers and leaves a bunch of ultimate Asian film classics behind. His widow spoke to local newspaper, quoting his long fight that has kept him in and out of hospitals for the past seven months and her sadness over the fact, that Ho Meng Hua was not able to see his hand imprints at the famous Hong Kong Movie Walk of Fame before dying. “I am sure he will look down from the heavens when the ceremony to introduce him to the “Hall of Fame” will be held probably later this year” she was quoted.
